Club Rules and Guidelines

All divers are responsible for their own dive planning, monitoring of air and depth and ascent rates.

Divers are responsible for ensuring they are fit enough and well enough to complete the dives. You are referred to the P.A.D.I Medical questionnaire and the P.A.D.I Safe Diving Practices and guidelines.

If using your own equipment, you are responsible for properly maintaining it. If using hired kit, you are responsible for checking it functions properly prior to use.

Hidden Depths reserves the right to refuse to let someone dive if they feel there is a lack of experience and qualifications or equipment may be hazardous to the diver.

Hidden Depths as the agent will take all due care to ensure that First Aid and Oxygen is available throughout all diving activities

Hidden Depths will plan activities to accommodate the least experienced person wishing to join the diving activities.

Hidden Depths reserves the right to change dive sites if conditions or weather change and become unsuitable for the proposed diving activity.

Hidden Depths is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal diving equipment when on organized trips. It is suggested that you have your equipment insured against theft/loss and yourself insured against injury.

Divers planning to join club dives are responsible for ensuring they are appropriately qualified or experienced to complete the dive. YOU are responsible for diving within your limitations or gaining further experience/training prior to joining activities beyond your current level of training.
- PADI Open Water are permitted to dive to a max of 18m
- BSAC Ocean Diver 20m
- PADI Advanced Open Water divers are permitted to dive to 30m
- BSAC Sports Diver 35m
- PADI Deep Specialty divers are permitted to dive to 40m
- BSAC Dive Leader & Advanced Diver 50
- Please arrive in plenty of time to board the boat. The trip times given are departure times for the boat. The boat will need to depart on time for most dives to ensure tide conditions are appropriate for the planned dive. If you are late the boat will not wait and you will be required to pay the fee due.
- You are REQUIRED to carry an SMB and reel per buddy pair and ideally per diver so the boat can follow you in the water.
- Tools and spares that may be required are the responsibility of the individual diver.
MARINE LIFE OR SHIPWRECK ARTIFACTS may not be picked up from the seabed or from wrecks on the seabed. Divers may however pick up any modern rubbish they may find including tin cans, glass bottles, fishing gear – Care must be taken as these items may have sharp edges.
